The Bluff Foundation

est 1995

The Bluff Foundation derived its name from the area Just outside of Rosewood in South East Queensland, called The Bluff”

Our 110 acre farm that over looked the Bremer Valley.

After the sale of the farm it was decided to assist farmers in their times of need so they don’t have to sell their farms and keep them on the land. We have now Everywhere we look--in the media, on the streets, in our own homes--we see evidence of poverty, hunger, environmental disaster, war, and disease. Most of us want to do something to help, but with so many charities and humanitarian organizations begging for our attention, time, and money, it can be difficult to know where our efforts and contributions are best spent.

What we do

The Nature Conservancy and Farmers works world-wide to protect the environment and the lives dependent on it and to preserve ecologically vital resources and habitats. Although the Nature Conservation encourages political engagement and advocacy on behalf of environmentally friendly causes, it seeks to accomplish its goals by proposing practical solutions that appeal to all sides of an environmental dispute rather than pursuing political confrontation or inflammatory rhetoric. Special focus areas include marine and fresh water conservation, proposing solutions for repairing ecosystems damaged by invasive species, and preserving coral reefs and rainforests. Converting farmers from non organic farming to organic and biodynamic sustainable farming methods. Teaching people in the cities to grow some of their own food. Involvement in schools to teach children where their food comes from and how to grow and look after the environment.

OUR FUNDING:

  • Comes from normal, everyday people who are members of Churches and others, not from government grants or large corporate donations.

  • Supports only humanitarian work—100 percent of the funds go toward project expenses.

  • Doesn't have to cover overhead costs, as they are funded fully by Volunteers/Participants

Our Vision?

Our vision is to build a community of like minded people who can reside there permanently, temporarily, drift in and out as their need requires, carry on business/s that sustains the community and have many communities around the country.

Business/s can range from small scale to medium scale, manufacturing, agriculture, aquaculture, farm stays (food and livestock workshops), Glamping (glamorous camping), just to name a few.

Alternative health, meditation retreats, wellness workshops, an open source university of the world where anyone can come to learn or contribute. A place that comes from love and caring rather than the dollar.

How can I assist? (what People can do to help with the project)

People of like mindedness can come together, promoting and contributing their ideas and efforts to help get this off the ground. No one person will benefit, this is for the benefit of ALL. We ask that you put your hand up with what you can offer in an effort to move this mammoth project forward. If you think you are only one and you can’t make a difference, just think about being in a room at night with a mosquito.

How does a mouse eat a kilogram block of cheese?

“One bite at a time”.
